AND YOU SHOULD TOO! 

I still remember growing up about 30 miles north east of Cbus in Johnstown and going to elementary school.  Every year we would have a “Beat M*ch*g*n” week where we would do something different every day to take down that team up North.  One day it might be an arts project, the next they might play Hang On Sloopy on the PA, the next you guessed the score of the game,  but every year on Friday it was the day that you wore your OSU gear to school. 

AND I remember every year, putting on what ever OSU shirt was my favorite that year with 99.9999999999999999999% of the kids in schoool.  Alright there were not that many of us but there always………….1 kid that was a M*CH*G*N fan and on Friday he would wear his maize and blue and be loud.  Of course he could say what ever he wanted because M*ch*g*n always beat our beloved Buckeyes.  I would be that kid that would say “Hey its not about last year its about this year!” ………then Saturday would come, Saturday would go with something stupid happening, Tim I hate you beaka, bieka, be I HATE YOU TUKA, Shawn Springs I cover anything that moves falling down, etc, etc and then on Monday I would get to school and have to listen to that guy talk about how OSU sucked!  Well what can you say when OSU didn’t ever win!?!?!?!

Now I read Dale Jr’s post about the 7th graders and I think, this golden era that we are living in we are taking for granted.  All of those kids going thru elementary school now have no idea the pains that our generation went thru.  They dont know what it feels like to have that 1 kid who thinks its cool to root for a different team.  They dont have go thru 365 days a year putting up with that kid thinking that this is the year only to have OSU’s ass handed to them.  They don’t have to wonder on Saturday morning “Is this going to be the year they finally do it?” 

No they don’t have to go thru that pain and that is what I am Thankful for this Thanksgiving Eve!  Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone and hopfully come Saturday evening we will all be thankful again that our kids can keep sticking it to that one kid in school!
